James "Jim" Haire's Obituary
Jim was born in 1945, in Astoria, Oregon. After he finished the fifth grade, he and his family moved to San Diego, CA where he spent the rest of his school days. In high school, he worked in a grocery store, as a stocker and bagger. He was always interested in photography, so after graduating from high school he attended a photography school for a year. During high school and college, he and his friends surfed any time they could. They traveled up the pacific coast and surfed in lots of places. He loved to surf! In 1967 he got married and a year later he was drafted into the Army. The Vietnam was was on at that time and he spent two years in Ft. Gordon, GA. He has an administrative job where he did all the paperwork, etc. for the men who were going to Vietnam. Jim had one daughter named Charlotte who sadly passed away at the young age of 22, while attending college. Jim made a career out of his love for photography. He was self employed as a photographer and traveled the United States taking pictures for different large companies for their marketing and anything they needed pictures for. Jim loves anything and everything about trains. He put several model trains together, and loved taking pictures of them. His favorite kind of food is Mexican... he has a sweet tooth, loves chocolate... anything sweet.
