James "Jim" LeVitre's Obituary
James Strong LeVitre, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Jim was born Sept. 26, 1939 in Provo, UT. Son of Robert A. and Lola LeVitre. He was proceeded in death by his parents and only sibling Robert.
Jim graduated from Provo High school. He served our country in the National Guard. He worked at Hercules for 35+ years as an Instrument Repair Electrician and served as a Union VP for Hercules.
Jim was an avid fisherman, gardener, and family man. His family was his pride and joy. Supporting, loving and providing for his family was his greatest accomplishment.
Jim is survived by his wife Bonnie Lyn Barrett, 8 children, 25 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. There will forever be a void where his larger than life personality, humor and love were. He will be dearly missed by his family...until we meet again.
Graveside services will be 11:30 am, Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Provo City Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to services from 10 to 11:00 am at the Timpanogos 6th Ward Chapel, 332 East 500 North, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
