James "Jim" Muir's Obituary
On January 2nd, Jim passed while in the presence of his daughter, daughter in law, son and sister. Jim had been residing at St. Josephs Villa due to a long struggle with complications from COPD and emphysema.
Jim was born to Gavin and Mary Muir in Detroit, Michigan the youngest to 3 siblings. He was preceded in death by both parents, his brother Don Muir and his sister Betty Fuhst. He is survived by his sister Bonnie Burge, his children Michelle Berrett-Muir (Romy), David Hutcheon and Denise Hutcheon. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Crystal King, Jada Julian, David G. Hutcheon, and Steven Hutcheon. He also leaves behind loving extended family and great grandchildren.
Although Jim was a private man he always looked forward to Wendover trips, usually with his sister Bonnie. He was an avid reader and it wasn't uncommon for him to finish several books within a few days. He also shared a common interest in sci-fi and horror shows with his daughter Michelle. They would often spend friday nights watching shows and BSing.
Jim didn't want any "hoopla" about his passing. He lived a simple life and requested that there be no services.
