James Smith Putnam's Obituary
PUTNAM James Sr passed away peacefully on Sept 21, 2018 at the age of 84 with his family by his side.
He was born on June 5, 1934 in Ogdensburg, NY to Ruth Ells.
He served in the United States Air Force and followed a career with the Federal Government for 34 years. After retiring he continued to enjoy life and his love for traveling, camping, was a great handyman, barbecuing and spending time with his family. He loved football and was a true San Francisco 49er and San Antonio Spurs fan. On March 1, 1953 he married his sweetheart Nancy R. Putnam in San Antonio, TX and resided there for many years.
He is survived by his spouse Nancy of 65 years. Children James S. Putnam Jr (Lorelei) Debbie Keener (Steve) Brenda Faulkner (Randy) Linda Stowell (John) Grandchildren Michael, Ginger, Brandon, Great Grandchildren Charlie, Michael, Joseph, Rayshawn, Kennesa.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church on September 26 in Layton, Utah. Reverend Clarence Sandoval will officiate. Services will be held at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio Texas at a later date.
