James Robert (Jim Bob) Pigott's Obituary
James Robert (Jim Bob) Pigott, age 72, passed away Monday, July 13, 2020 surrounded by his children, brothers, and sister.
Jim Bob was born October 6, 1947, in Harris County Texas, to Arthur William Pigott Jr. and Geraldine Peterson Pigott Golding and was the oldest of eight children.
He graduated from Jones High School in Houston, Texas in 1966. He was drafted and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1968 to 1970. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and M-14 sharpshooter badge. After serving his country he married Cynthia Leigh Conrad and had five children, Leigh Ann, Amy Vanessa, Dallas Ann, Justin Robert, and Emily Louise (Emmy Lou). He and Cyndy later divorced. He was a carpenter by trade and worked on many projects over the years. His hobbies included hunting, stained glass, fishing, camping, fantasy football and playing guitar.
Jim Bob is survived by his children: Amy (Adam) Hawkes of Orem, Utah; Dallas (Dedge) Lee of Katy, Texas; Justin Pigott of Heber, Utah; Emmy Lou (Ryan) Heber of Taft, California; and his fourteen grandchildren: Braydon, Carson, Cody, Cooper, Tyler, Trajan, Dylan, Dawson, Gavin, Devyn, Tanner, Jackson, Brock, and Ty. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Foster of Berry Creek, California; Lisa (Bob) Merrill of American Fork, Utah; and his three brothers, Arthur William III of Provo, Utah; John (Catherine) Pigott of Provo, Utah; and David (Kathleen) Pigott of Rexburg, Idaho. He has been reunited with his daughter Leigh Ann, brother Pete, sister Becky, and his mom and dad.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Veterans Hospital, Stonehenge of Orem, Heritage Care Center in American Fork and Applegate Homecare and Hospice in Wasatch and Utah County.
His family will honor his life with a memorial to be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, at 3 p.m., at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 South Camp Williams Road Bluffdale, Utah.
