James was an accomplished architect. He always said he would practice architecture until it was all gone. Jim enjoyed cooking especially gourmet. He was an artist as well. He drew and painted lots of pictures for many. He graduated from the University of Idaho, Moscow. Jim grew up in Idaho on a farm when he learned hard work and had a pony named Sonny Boy. Jim served proudly in the United States Army as a sergeant. He built a cabin in Robbie Creek Idaho. He enjoyed it. but then sold it when he and Joanne moved to Texas. People were always attracted to Jim. Once you got to know him, you understood how sincere he really was.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joanne; children Angela (Ryan) and Nathan; two grandchildren; nephew Mark who always was there for him, and niece Melissa Housley who loved him like a father; Whiskers Thomas, who lays on his bed waiting for Jim to come home, will dearly miss his best friend.
As per Jim wishes, there will be no services. He will be cremated and his ashes will be laid to rest at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah.
Rest in peace my Jim, because you were the love of my life. I will miss you always telling me not to worry and that things would be ok. You always relied on me to fix most things... only this time, I couldn't fix you from the cancer.
Thank you Wendy, for all your visits and tender care.
