James Everett Wallace Jr's Obituary
James Everett Wallace Jr. 77 passed away on December 19, 2025. He was born on November 19,1948 in Newport, Rhode Island, a son of the late James Everett Wallace Sr. and Mary Wallace. James and his siblings were raised in Anaheim, California- where he then attended Servite High School, this is where he found his love for competitive swimming. In his early thirties, he moved to Utah, a place that would become home for the rest of his life, where he met Leann Lloyd, the love of his life; together they raised their two children, Patrick Wallace and Taylor Carlson(Wallace).
He was a man who loved adventure and the outdoors. James and Leann enjoyed many adventures during their time together, later continuing to pursue these adventures with their children. Whether scuba diving, cross-country skiing, hunting trips, heading out on camping trips to Lake Powell and Flaming Gorge among many more places. Some of the most cherished memories were the early mornings fishing and camping trips, he was always ready to get up before sunrise to take his kids out on the water and see what we could catch.
For the past ten years, James also shared many adventures and travels with his longtime girlfriend, Sharpie (Barbara) Games, with whom he enjoyed companionship, exploration, and countless meaningful memories. She was an important part of his life and brought him great joy and love during those years.
A true do-it-yourselfer, he could often be found tinkering in the garage, fixing, building, or working on his next project. He was thoughtful, capable, and resourceful—someone who quietly took care of things.
He was a stoic man, with a deeply caring heart- often thought of others before himself. He was always thinking of others and looking for ways, big or small, to help out. He showed his love through actions—always thinking of others, finding ways to help friends and family. His quiet generosity and steady presence left a lasting impression on all who knew him. His actions spoke louder than words, and his steady presence will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a family who loved him dearly and countless memories of adventures, quiet acts of kindness, and unwavering devotion.
James was preceded in death by his beloved wife Leann Lloyd Wallace, his parents, James Wallace and Mary Wallace, his brothers, Ray Wallace and Frank Wallace.
He is survived by his two children, Patrick(April) Wallace, Taylor(Jesse) Carlson, Grandchildren Corbin and Aria Wallace, Grace and Madeline Carlson, Siblings, Jeff Wallace and Linda Vavro.
