James Robert Wiet's Obituary
James Robert Wiet beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away on December 13 after a lengthy illness.
Jim was born in San Angelo Texas on December 22, 1945, to Harry Wiet Jr. and Noma Miller. Harry was in the Airforce and the family eventually settled in Merced California. Jim graduated from Merced High School and later attended Merced Junior College.
Jim met his wife Joy Elise Williams in Salt Lake City. They were married on December 29, 1984. They spent many years in California where they owned and operated several liquor and convenience stores. Later in Jim’s life he worked in the finance and collections industry.
Jim was a humble, quiet man who loved watching sports, especially the NFL. He loved his family and always wanted to hear what was happening in their lives and what the grandkids were doing in sports and activities.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brother Brant and his son Jason. He is survived by his wife Joy, sons Aaron (Karen), Chad (Mandy), daughter Cindy Reeves, son Scott (Heather) Reeves, and his many loving grandchildren.
We will miss Jim dearly and cherish the time we had with him.
