James Valden Wood's Obituary
James Valden Wood, 63 passed away Tuesday evening July 26, 2016 at the Canyon Rim Care Center. He was born May 14, 1953 to Valden & Joan Wood in Salt Lake City Utah.
He graduated from Kearns High School and had an Associates Degree from Utah State University. He married TaLaMar Gerriets on May 29, 1992. He worked for United Electric Supply Company for many many years. He was a master of Chess, Poetry and all things History.
He was preceded in death by his father Valden, his brother Don and his son Joseph. He is survived by his wife TaLaMar and son Jonathan, mother Joan, brother Kenny (Loni) and sisters Debbie (Joe) Lummus and Valerie Walker as well as many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday July 30th at the Jefferon Ward located at 1883 south West Temple, Salt Lake City. There will be a viewing beginning at 10:30am until 11:45am.
Burial will be at the Elysian Gardens Cemetery located at 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Joan Wood, 4933 south 4095 west, Kearns, Utah 84118.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Canyon Rim Care Center and the Bristol Hospice Nurses for their loving care in his final days.
