Jan Campa's Obituary
Jan Campa, June 1, 1936 -- March 18, 2024, has joined his true love, Constance (Connie) Koenemann in an expanded capacity to serve mankind from the other side of the veil.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie, his parents, Delta Petersen Campa and Philip Jesse Campa, and brothers, Lare Campa, and Ronald Campa.
A gardener by nature, his last earthly mission was lending all of his many personalities to plant new growth into lost souls.
His valiant fight with Alzheimer's inspired his caregivers to become more and to strive to be better.
Born in Manti, Utah, Jan spent his later years in Ogden.
He served honorably as a Marine and was the father of four children.
A talented welder, Jan enjoyed fixing and creating his surroundings just how he liked them. If he couldn't find the tool he wanted, he made one.
He was a dedicated member of the Eckankar Church, which teaches that all people are eternal spiritual beings capable of reaching higher spiritual planes. Just before his last decline, Jan began to sing "Hu," an ancient name for God.
His passions included camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, gardening, bodybuilding, karate, and snow skiing. He made his own specialty ski boots.
His friends and neighbors wish to express their thanks to the Auberge at North Ogden Assisted Living and Memory Care for the way the talented staff helped Jan in his last days.
A private remembrance will be held in Jan's honor. Those wishing to attend are invited to text 801-645-9646 by March 27 for information and to RSVP.
