I sure do love my Aunt Jane, and I'm going to miss her so much. I remember she and my mom would always tell people that they were twins. They were so proud of that.
Aunt Jane taught me so much. She taught me how to make homemade bread, pie crust and peanut butter fingers. She was a great cook. When I think of her, I think of how giving she was to anyone. I think of how she liked to find great bargains at the stores, and taught me a few tricks.
My favorite memory was of how we would go up the canyon to spot deer and wild turkey. This particular memory was when we were on the way back down the canyon. She saw a snake in the middle of the road on the lane going the other way. Aunt Jane HATED, DETESTED snakes! She quickly swerved to run over that snake. I don't know if she did, or didn't. She drove for about 5 more minutes and asked, "Do you think I got that snake, or should we go back and make sure?" I said, "Yeah, you got it. We're good!"
Aunt Jane was one of the best!
