Janie Trigg's Obituary
Janie Trigg, beloved Mama, Grandma, sister, and aunt passed away on June 1, 2023, in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She was born September 15, 1937, in Marietta, Mississippi to Marion Dean and Adele Waddle. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023, at the LDS church, 2695 E. 7000 S. in Cottonwood Heights at 12pm. Family and friends are welcome at the church starting at 10:30am. A graveside service will follow the services at Memorial Mountain View Estates.
Janie loved serving others, reading, gardening, chocolate, and pulling pranks on others. She was also a great seamstress.
Through her life, Janie was very active in the church, serving a mission in Texas in 2005, and a service mission in 2007. She had many callings in her life, including being a temple worker, Relief Society president, seminary teacher, cub scout leader and Sunday School teacher. Janie led by example through her faith and dedication to the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Her spunky and witty nature will be dearly missed by all those who love and miss her. Preceding her in passing are her parents, siblings Charles Waddle, Bob Waddle, Freddie Waddle, Ricky Waddle, Betty Johnson, Jimmie Sue Ramey, and Frankie Crabb. Left to treasure the lessons she taught are her children Phillip (Jana) Trigg, Rhonda (Jeff) Fullmer, Susan (Matthew) Bryan, Vicki (Jason) Richardson and Allyson (Greg) Eddy, her two remaining siblings Dannie (Janice) Waddle and Reba Flurry as well as 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends who love her.
