Janine Kae Jensen Christiansen's Obituary
Janine Kae Christiansen Born: October 27, 1963 Died: March 17, 2014 My best friend died this Morning ! She passed with the same Poise and dignity she has possessed her whole life and an incredible amount of courage. She found out she had a malignant brain tumor on January 28, 2014 and died March 17, 2014. She spent the majority of time in the hospital with the knowledge she probably wouldn’t survive and yet she faced every treatment, operation, scan, probe and basic hospital invasion of her privacy with grace and elegance. I know she was more concerned about her children’s state of mind than her own mortality. She spent the last two weeks of her life at home under hospice care. On the last day she was tended by all four of her amazing, and loving daughters Savannah, Sarah, Summer, and Autumn. They stayed with her throughout the night until her passing the next morning. Janine leaves a multitude of friends and family, her four daughters, her two brothers Mark and Craig Jensen and their families. Her mother and step father Sheila and Guenter Ernst. Her other Mom Marge Jensen married to Janine’s father Rex Jensen who died from esophageal cancer 21 months ago. Janine’s step brother’s and sister’s Roland, Suzi, Stephanie and Tony also reeling from the devastating news. Janine became Director of Finance for the SLC International Airport. She loved her job and developed some very close friendships with her co-workers and earned the respect of her peers. And then there is me Janine’s best friend and greatest fan her husband. God Bless you Norma, I love you ! A Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Parish, 11800 South 300 East, Draper, Utah. A Viewing will be held Wednesday at the church at 6:00 pm followed with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. Interment at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 275 “U” Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.
