Jaxx Cohen's Obituary
Jaxx Cohen, 17, of Clearfield, Utah, passed away on July 16, 2025, at 1:32pm at the University of Utah Hospital.
Born on December 4, 2007, in Riverside, California to Kayla Olney. William Olney became Jaxx’s father when he married Jaxx’s mother in 2020.
Jaxx was known for his love of nature and sense on humor. Jaxx loved to hike, fish, camp, and ride ATVs with family and friends. He would often play pranks on his family and friends, say out-of-pocket things, make funny faces, and make silly noises just to make those around him laugh. Jaxx had a deep passion and love for his family and friends. He loved hard and lived life to the max.
He is survived by his father and mother, William and Kayla Olney; his sisters Calli Fresh (Garrett Fresh) and Genesee Olney; his brothers Sean Henderson, Seth Henderson, and Gavin Barajas; his nephew Abel Branz; his girlfriend Alanna Doughty.
Jaxx’s family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of SICU at University of Utah, and Donor Connect for the exceptional care and compassion Jaxx received while in their care.
Jaxx’s celebration of life will be held on September 13,2025. Location TBD.
