Jay Shaw Foster's Obituary
Jay Shaw Foster, age 59, passed away peacefully at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
Born on June 11, 1965, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jay was the beloved son of Bernice (Wells) Foster and Daniel Wade Foster. He spent over two decades working with dedication at the University of Utah Campus, from 1999 until 2025.
Jay had a lifelong passion for technology, having discovered a love for computers at a young age. In his free time, he enjoyed playing Xbox and PlayStation, collecting Hot Wheels cars and figurines, and spending quality time
with his friends and family.
He is survived by his sister-in-law, Patricia Foster, and his cherished nieces, Whitney Ann Foster and Deanna Danielle Foster.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Daniel Foster; siblings Kerrie Wade Foster and Barrie Udell Foster; and nephew Barrie Andrew Foster (“Baby Bear”).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, Utah 84102.
Jay will be remembered for his kind heart, quiet strength, and deep love for those around him.
