Jean Bosco Barakamfitiye's Obituary
Jean Bosco Barakamfitiye, 43, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away on June 6, 2025 at Intermountain Medical Center.
Born in Malindi, Democratic Republic of Congo to Adelin Ndikumana and Genivieve Ndikuriyo. He graduated from secondary school and worked as a nurse while his family lived in Tanzania. This is where he met his wife Tabu Ndikumana. Jean moved to the United States in 2008, and has most recently been working in the kitchen at the Cheesecake Factory. Jean and Tabu reconnected in the United States and married February 7, 2009. They have five children.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Tabu; his daughters, Angel (15), Queen (12), and Tatiana (10); his sons, Jaden (4) and Ariel (1); and his parents Adelin and Genivieve. He was deeply loved by his family and had a special bond with his children.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 after a short viewing starting at 10:00 AM, at 845 W 4800 S, Taylorsville, Utah 84123.
