Jeanene Johnson Malan's Obituary
Jeanene Johnson Malan passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 1:15am in Ogden, Utah. She was born on August 21, 1934 in Ogden, Utah to Perry Lindsay and Valores Kemp Johnson
Jeanene was educated in Ogden City schools and graduated from Ogden High School in 1952. She married her eternal companion Don, later that year, on November 14, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. They made their home in Layton, Utah, where they had a small mink ranch.
Don and Jeanene later moved to Washington, where they enjoyed the beautiful Pacific Northwest. They returned to Utah in 1970 and lived in Morgan, Utah, Pleasant View, Utah, and Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jeanene was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served the Church in many callings, with her favorites being missionary service at the Church Library, and her mission with Don, in the Oakland, CA Mission.
Jeanene is survived by her daughter Deborah (Blake) Johansen, son Chris (Laurie) Malan, son-in-law Fritz Lord, daughter, Michelle (Val) Simmons, brother Gerald Johnson, 12 grandchildren and many great-grand children.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Don, parents, Perry and Valores Johnson, brother Stephen Johnson, daughter Lisa Malan Lord, and son Stephen Don Malan.
The viewing and funeral service will take place at the LDS Church at 2975 North 1000 West, Pleasant View, Utah. The viewing will be held on Saturday, March 25 from 9:30am to 10:30am. The funeral service will be held immediately after, beginning at 11am.
