Jeanne Rosina Brito Martin's Obituary
Jeanne Rosina Brito Martin passed away on June 7, 2026 at 84 years old. Jeanne lived a full life and loved her family more than anything. She had a very special relationship with her son Rob, and they spent many years where it was just the two of them. She would often reminisce about their grand adventures living and traveling around the Southwest. She remained very close to her siblings and their families, frequently keeping in contact through texts, sharing photos, and phone calls. Jeanne loved all living things including all the critters she had over the years—her horses, dogs, ducks, geese, and rabbits—but she especially loved her cats. They brought her so much joy throughout her life. Jeanne was very active in supporting her community through her career, service work, and financial donations. She was an independent and successful woman who worked a wide variety of jobs, all focused on helping other people. She had many incredible experiences throughout her life and always shared old stories with her loved ones. Jeanne was fascinated by the natural world around her and her adventurous spirit kept her young. She was a wonderful, happy, and selfless woman loved by everyone who met her. The immediate family will have a small private gathering in remembrance of her.
She is survived by her son Robert James Martin and his wife Krista of Price. Granddaughters Desiree Robertson of Spanish Fork and Sierra Martin of Monticello. Sisters Agneda Gina (Shida) Brito Weiss and her husband Arthur of Boston; and Maria Brito of Santa Fe. Brothers Andres (Andy) Brito and Santiago Brito, both of Santa Fe. Nieces Alexandra Weiss Kopelioff and her husband Dary and their children Sofia, Noa and Rafa of New York City, Elizabeth Wilson and her husband James of Santa Fe, and Krystal Palmer and her husband Robert of Santa Fe. Nephews Ron C de Baca and his wife Janice of Santa Fe, Angelo C de Baca of Santa Fe and John Montano and his wife JoAnn of Santa Fe.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leopolda Brito and Corina Esmeralda Martinez Brito, her brother Jake Brito, her sister Charlotte Montano; and her husband Robert (Bob) E. Martin.
She will be truly missed by her friends and family.
