Jeffrey Scott Andersen's Obituary
Our son, grandson, brother, and friend, Jeffrey, passed away on the morning of June 14th, 2025. Jeffrey was born on July 30, 1984, to Jill Diana Bowden in Bountiful, Utah, and they were inseparable from the very beginning.
Jeffrey’s energy was magnetic, and he made friends everywhere he went. Being around him meant laughter, fun, light and a sense of joy that’s impossible to forget. Jeff could always lighten the mood and crack a joke to make someone feel better, often making himself the target of his own jokes. He was endlessly kind, and deeply caring, always willing to do anything for those he loved.
In 2018, Jeffrey was diagnosed with heart failure at age 34. He was fortunate to get a second chance with the support of an LVAD, which he bravely toted around for one year, to improve his heart function. His recovery after living with the LVAD led him to be a guest at a medical symposium for doctors from all over the world. Every surgery and procedure were a battle, but Jeff was a fighter, giving us seven more precious years together.
Jeff had a passion and knowledge of cars that he shared with his grandpa Bob and brother Dalton. He had a knack for customizing and detailing, resulting in his cars looking better than when they left the lot. If family, friends, or friends-of-friends, found themselves in need of car help, they would soon find themselves in either Jeff’s company, or behind the wheel of a vehicle he hunted down for them.
Jeff’s heart belonged to his family, his friends, and his dogs. Losing him leaves a space no one else will ever be able to fill. Jeff made all our lives better by just being in it. While we’re grieving his loss here, there is comfort in knowing he’s having a joyous reunion with his cherished grandma Loretta and his sweet pups, Sadie and Petri.
He will be missed more than words can say.
Jeffrey was laid to rest with his grandmother Loretta Bowden, on July 3, 2025. A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on his birthday, Wednesday July 30th, at the Forest Dale Golf Course clubhouse, located at 2375 South 900 East, Salt Lake City, from 6pm-9pm. We would love for his friends and family to join us to share memories, laugh, and give Jeff the party he deserves.
