Jeffrey Patrick Duarte's Obituary
Jeffery Patrick Duarte 65, passed away quietly at his home in Sunset, Utah on April 9th, 2026 following a short illness. In accordance with his wishes, he passed at home with his loving daughter by his side.
Born in South Kingstown, Rhode Island on January 13th, 1961 to parents Anthony and Rita (Pariseau) Duarte. Jeff was the third of five siblings. A true salt of the earth personality, Jeff was a solid, honest and hard working man - a staunch character who lived simply and valued integrity above all else.
Inheriting a remarkable mechanical talent from his grandfather, Jeff was a steel fabricator by trade and possessed the rare ability to fix or figure out anything.
He found great joy in the solitude and beauty of nature while fishing, and he had a lifelong passion for fast cars and NASCAR. However, he loved nothing more than his family.
Jeff was preceded in death by his lifelong companion and beloved wife Cythina (Hester); his son Patrick Duarte; his parents Anthony and Rita; his sister Juliana Brawley and his brothers Anthony and Louis.
He is survived by his brother Michael Sullivan; his son Ernest "Ben" Duarte; his daughter Julieana Flores; his grandchildren Steven, Samuel and Marissa Silva; Katherine Reddick; and his great grandchildren Desmond and Xara
At Jeff's specific request, no formal services will be held. His family will remember him privately. Honoring the legacy of a man who was as steady and strong as the steel he worked with.
