Jenny Lynn Webster's Obituary
Jenny Lynn Webster of Eagle Mountain passed away peacefully on January 28, 2023, at the age of 67, from the effects of Lewy Body Dementia surrounded by family. Jenny was born in San Pedro, California on April 14, 1955, to Merrill and Frances Bickmore as the fourth of five children. She spent her early years in the Hollywood Riviera neighborhood of Torrance, California and later moved with her family to Palos Verdes Estates. After graduating from Palos Verdes High School in 1973 she enrolled in classes at Harbor College.
It was while she was working at Carson Toyota that she met her future husband, Charles Webster. Jenny and Charlie were married in November 1978 and made their home in South Torrance for the next 40 years. Jenny was a devoted mother to her five children and a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Over the years she served in a variety of volunteer positions in the church, serving in the Primary, Young Women’s, and Relief Society organizations. In addition to this, Jenny was also active in the PTA as well as helped out in her children’s classes when they attended elementary school.
While raising her children, Jenny worked as a bookkeeper throughout the years for both a sorority and a plumbing distributor. She also baked and sold her famous Lemon Cake and other items at Mrs. Santa’s Cupboard Boutique that was started by her mother. After her children were all in school, Jenny re-entered the workforce and worked for Weight Watchers in both Torrance and Manhattan Beach for nearly 20 years. Prior to her retiring from Weight Watchers, she was the Center Coordinator/Manager for the Manhattan Beach location.
Jenny and Charlie retired in 2018 and relocated from Southern California to Eagle Mountain, Utah to be closer to more of their family. It was while living there that Jenny received the devastating diagnosis initially of Early-Onset Alzheimer’s, and later of Lewy Body Dementia.
Jenny is survived by her husband, Charlie, her children: Blake Webster (Brittany) of Eagle Mountain, UT, William Webster (Chaise Housley) of Logan, UT, Victor Webster (Geraldine) of Lakewood, CA, Grant Webster of Lakewood, CA, and Emma Carroll (Matt) of Leander, TX; grandchildren, Annie Webster, Sophie Webster, Dane Carroll, Grace Webster, Archer Webster, Hannah Webster, Trent Carroll, Callum Webster, Blakeslee Webster, and Brett Carroll. She is also survived by her siblings Victor Bickmore, Terry Parson (Mike), Cindy Segawa (Chris), and Mindy Wing (Phil), and her two sisters in law, Holly Walker, and Kathy Skala (Jim).
We wish to thank the staff of Pheasant Run Memory Care in South Jordan and Harmony Hospice who provided Jenny with exceptional care during the last months of her life.
The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 8273 N. Simpson Springs Road, Eagle Mountain, Utah, where a visitation will be held from 10:00 - 10:50 a.m. prior to the service.
