I smiled when I read Uncle Jerry described by the kids as “gruff” cause as a kid, and even as an adult, I can only remember him smiling (glad that I missed the gruff). I have many memories of get togethers, and how great it felt to be with the Hunters. I’m sure you will miss him, hugs and prayers for your family until you are reunited again!
Jerry was one of my husband and my special workout friends. We used to see him at Gold's gym every time he went, and built a special bond with him. To hear of his passing is heartbreaking. He was loved by many and he loved many. To Jerry's family, may you find comfort at this time.

I have had the pleasure and honor of knowing your husband and Father for the past 20 years as a neighbor and ward member. My family was fortunate to sit right behind him at church for years without him killing our girls when they were small! How grateful I am for the friendship He and I had and will cherish it for my life.
I first came to know Jerry while in High school as a friend of Garry's. I have fond memories of being there in your home and getting used to the Hunter humor and finding great joy in the dry wit!
May you comforted to know that the plan of Salvation is real and the Jerry and Steven are now probably looking for a car show to attend or a car to putter around with! All my love, thoughts and Prayers,

I remember SSG Hunter from the Utah National Guard unit in Ogden. He was a good soldier and always made sure things were done the correct way and if not he would send you back until it was done right. He was our unit armor and he excelled at his job. It was often difficult to try and pull a fast one on ol Jerry, believe me I tried. He was honest and fare. As ornery as he was we would still manage to pull a smile out of him once in a while and a few more laughs while in the barracks.
