Like all who knew Jerrie, I grieve her passing, but am trying to focus on happy memories of carefree adventures spent in tropical climes with the warmth of the sun on our faces and the sand between our toes. Together we explored the Southern Caribbean in 2013, sailed the Mexican Riviera in 2015, and visted Bermuda in 2018. The trips were a chance to set aside our regular responsibilities of everyday life and put fun first. Jerrie was my sister-in-law, but we told people we were sisters and watched them try to reconcile her fair coloring to my tan, dark hair and eyes. I am posting six pictures of Jerrie that I call a “Day in Bermuda” where we left the ship to explore the harbor, climb a hill for the views, followed the path of “giant green footprints” to a sandy beach, and finished the afternoon snorkeling in a small cove. I miss her greatly as she has gone on to the next great adventure without me. Me ke aloha na poi naole (my loved one, never forgotten), Trudi (Ihe Kauila) Yoshikawa
