Jerry Lee Brady's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Jerry L. Brady. He passed away at his home in West Jordan, Utah on February 19, 2022.
Jerry was born to Mervin Lindsay and Marjorie Elizabeth Cox Brady on May 26, 1940, in Union, Utah. He had many talents and hobbies. Some of which were playing the guitar and singing which many had the chance to enjoy. He enjoyed sports, especially golfing, both playing it and watching it. He liked playing baseball and at one time played on a team with his brothers and friends. Watching football was also a favorite past-time for him. Jerry enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing with his family and spoke often of fishing with his father and looking forward to the chance to do it again. He greatly enjoyed cooking and loved a good tuna sandwich. One of the hobbies he especially loved was the horses that he and Betty enjoyed together for many years.
He is preceded in death by his wife Betty, his parents Mervin and Marjorie, his brothers Gordon, Jim and Kim and sister Marilyn and brother-in-law John Elkins. His son Layne Brady and son-in-law Wade Selman.
He is survived by his brother Rick (Karen) Brady. His children Cory (Jan) Brady, daughter-in-law Nannette Brady, Hoyt (Denise) Brady, Shane (Sheila) Brady, JaNae (Harold) Sullivan, Heidi Selman, Jon (Gaye) Brady, Rona Ryan, Kyle Kulow, Krista (Rob) Thiry, Lee (Kevin) Grow, Lacey (David) Green, Dawn Prisk and Tony Orn. He is also survived by his children’s mothers, Mary and Kathie, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jerry has a large family, both immediate and extended. He loved them all very much.
Due to covid and familial circumstances, a memorial service and celebration of life will be announced and held at a later time.
