Jerry Christensen's Obituary
On Thursday, May 14, 2020, Jerry Christensen (78), a caring family man with a selfless attitude, lost his battle with cancer.
Jerry was born May 22, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to William and Sarah Christensen. He married his sweetheart, Patricia Maresco, on 6/09/1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they raised five feisty and beautiful girls.
Although Jerry dabbled in different trades, and was good at all of them, he was a successful self-taught mechanic, who demonstrated an exceptionally strong work ethic. Jerry spoke enthusiastically about his time as a Rocky Mountain Raceway pit crew member. In fact, he spoke enthusiastically about nearly everything, passionately retelling his life stories for all to enjoy as though they had actually been there. Jerry loved camping and motorcycles. You were sure to find Jerry, who displayed an envious head of thick hair, wearing one of his favorite watches and a pair of cowboy boots. What a handsome man to behold!
Jerry is survived by all those who loved him so very much, including: his wife, Pattie; four of his daughters, Tonie, Kelly (Terry), Jamie, and Cortnie (Dee); his sister, Donna Coates; and his eight amazing grandchildren: Christopher Sucese, MacKenzie Sucese, Alex Pay, Brandon Johnson, Tishara Gray, Keaton Gray,Tayler Gray, Jason Gray. Three precious great-grandchildren: Harlyn Gray, Jack Schwab, Hannah Schwab. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Sarah Christensen; Wendy Pay his beautiful daughter, whom we lost too soon, but find comfort in the notion that she is reunited with our dad now; and his great granddaughter Alaina, William Kay Christensen (brother), Arlene Christensen (sister). We love you so very much, we will miss you always.
