Jerry Howard Hoskins' Obituary
Jerry Howard Hoskins
January 29, 1937-April 16, 2019
Jerry was born in Brigham City, Utah to Oliver Clifford Hoskins and Laverne Taylor Hoskins.
Jerry grew up in rural areas working on family farms…..Work was his salvation. He attended Wahlquist Jr. High School and Ben Lomond High School till he joined the Marine Corps in 1954. Jerry met his love and best friend Emma Sessions while dragging the boulevard and meeting at Bobs BBQ. They married in August of 1959 and went on to settle in West Point Utah. They raised their 2 children known as “Their Jewels” daughter Lisa Rae Dow and Matthue Jerry Hoskins (Lisa P). Jerry was employed as the Paint Shop Supervisor at Tooele Army Depot where army equipment was refurbished. His work became a hobby and he passed those skills and talent to his son. They spent countless hours together refurbishing vintage vehicles.
When his retirement came knocking they sold their family home and took on the full time RV Life Style. Summers were spent as Camp Ground Hosts at Strawberry Reservoir. Winters drew him south. They managed to park the Motor Home in every state. His favorite city being New Orleans….not only for the culture but also for the spicy food. He was happy to have been there when the Saints won the Super Bowl. Jerry is survived by his wife of 60 Years Emma. His two children, 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, Brother Jack (Anne) of El Paso, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, great grandson and
3 siblings, Larue Nichols, Clifford Wayne Hoskins and Baby sister Betty.
At Jerrys request there will not be a traditional funeral Service…Mortuary services provided by Premier in Roy Utah.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gary Holland, Nicole and Christina at The Comfort works Hospice for making his last days comfortable.
There was a special order ride….Candy Apple Red….His favorite color. Saying his final goodbyes as he climbed into his beautiful ride and took his final escapade.
