Joan Maynard Blymiller's Obituary
Joan Maynard Blymiller passed away peacefully in the Avalon West Health & Rehab. Center, in Taylorsville, UT on August 29, 2013 while surrounded by several of her family members.
Joan was a twin, born on March 25,1935 to Robert and Elsie Maynard, in Denver, Colorado. She had 3 sisters, including her twin Jean Harsch (deceased), Joyce Murphy of Simi Valley, CA and Judy Mitchell (deceased).
Joan married Samuel V. Moore in approx. 1951. They had two children, Robert Richard (deceased) , and Chele Ann Johnson (Clyde). Samuel and Joan divorced and Joan married Thomas Harold Blymiller on June 23, 1956. They had 4 children; Rick R. Blymiller (Stacey), Mike Blymiller, Mickey Sue Blymiller (deceased), and Tommy Lee Blymiller (Robyn). She has 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Joan was any employer’s dream! Always working her hardest, believing the company or job would fail if she wasn’t on the job daily. Up to her dying day, she wondered when the Dr. would allow her to return to work. She spent many years in the food industry, also managing a dry cleaners in Salt Lake City, and helping the special education students on the bus to insure they arrived to and from school safely. She also helped many of her elderly friends with their household chores and shopping. Anyone who she served felt her love and loyalty to her work.
A celebration of her life will be held at Rick Blymiller’s home (2540 W. Brucemont Dr. Taylorsville, UT 84129) on Sunday, September 7, 2013 beginning at 3:30 PM. Final services for Joan have been handled by Premier Funeral Services of Salt Lake City.
