Joan Leona Honey Floyd
1939-2017
Joan Leona Honey Floyd was born in Schenectady, New York to William Veness Honey and Leona LaPrelle Ellsworth on June 22, 1939. She returned to her Heavenly Father on October 31, 2017.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Having started her family at a very young age, she later worked hard to get her GED and graduate from Snow College to support her young family.
She had a deep love of Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. She served willingly in every calling she received. She served in Primary, Relief Society, Young Women, Sunday School, and Ward Choir. Her love of music brought special joy to her life. She was privileged to participate in church choirs, singing, directing, and teaching the hymns of Zion.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, William Ellsworth Honey (Kathryn) and Leon Veness Honey (Barbara); and Steve Parish (son-in-law).
She is survived by Koleta Jane Floyd Parish, Linda Gale Floyd Pratt (David), Daniel Marshall Floyd (Marla), and Cynthia Floyd Peterson (David) as well as sixteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
