Joan Audrey Marsh Hollings (Goodin)'s Obituary
Joan Audrey Marsh Hollings (Goodin)
Joan was born on May 15, 1940 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James Cyril and LaVon Colbert Marsh. She was the oldest of 5 children.
Joan peacefully slipped away at her home in Midway, Utah, on February 20, 2021 with loved ones by her side. The unwavering and tender care given by her husband, Laury, of 51 years will never be forgotten.
Joan was a beautiful homemaker and an excellent seamstress. She loved the ocean and spent a good part of her retirement in Shell Beach on the central coast of California. She enjoyed traveling and loved to read.
Joan is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws: Royston and Edith Bradley and 2 brothers: Jay and Bill Marsh. She is survived by her husband, Laury Hollings, children: Jaelynn (Chad) Golson, Paige (Tom) Donehue, Travis (Sonja) Hollings, Kim Hollings, Kip Hollings, Kandi (Bruce) Lee; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Connie (Todd) Green), Marian (John) Kwant; sister-in-law Sandy Marsh.
Special thanks to Kip Hollings for the compassion and care he gave to Joan and Laury at a most difficult time. The family would also like to express their appreciation to many neighbors for their kindness and friendship and to Canyon Hospice for their great care.
Joan's family and friends will be gathering soon to celebrate her life when it is safe – that date is forthcoming.
