JoAnn Goodrich Richmond's Obituary
JoAnn Goodrich Richmond, beloved daughter of God, passed away February 12, 2013. JoAnn was born December 31, 1930 to Harriet Neilson and Ralph Lee Goodrich II, in Compton, CA. She married Joseph Meyer Richmond April 8, 1950.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, daughter Brenda Hubbard, sister Donna Edwards, and brothers, Ralph Lee Goodrich III, Melvin Goodrich and Leonard Goodrich. She is survived by five of her six children, Peggy (Jim) Wilbur, Brent Richmond, Nancy (Craig) Jones, Laurie Loader and Myra (Derek) Miller, and two brothers, John (Yvonne) Goodrich and Arlen (Edna) Goodrich. She has 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren who all love to call her “Granny JoAnny.”
Mother adored her family and was very proud of all their accomplishments. JoAnn was a member of the LDS Church. She loved Relief Society, going to the temple and serving as a visiting teacher. Mother experienced many trials in her life. She faced her trials with tenacity and faith. She loved serving others, baking bread, making soups and casseroles or cookies to share. She loved cheese, bowling, gardening and playing Farkle.
We are happy for her as she is now joyfully reunited with her many loved ones who have gone before. We love you Mom. Thanks for all your love and sacrifice. Until we meet again.
Funeral services will be held at the Mapleton White church at the corner of Maple & Main Streets in Mapleton, UT, on Saturday, Feb. 16th at 11 am. Viewings will be Friday, Feb. 15th from 6:30-8:30 pm and 1 hr before services from 9:45-10:45 am. Interment in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery.
