My father Joe Remedios Carrera proudly served his country as a United States Marine: USMC Corporal 1st Marine 2nd Battallion during the Korean War. A Purple Heart recipient, was nominated for the Silver Star which he declined. His hope was the war in which he served and his fellow comrades would not be forgotten. I miss you Dad, with every fiber of my being. Semper Fi!~*
