Aunt Lila, I am so sad and sorry to hear of uncle Joel passing. I wish I could've been there in person to offer my support and condolences. in times like this we reflect on how very short life truly is and just how quickly our loved ones can be gone without the chance to say I love you one more time. I recall a time you reached out to me when my daughter passed away. You will never know how much of a difference that made in my life and I want you to know how grateful I am for that simple gesture. I know you have plenty of family and support surrounding you but if there is anything I can ever do to help you or just to listen. Please know I'm here in any way possible. In the end it is not about the material things we own or the status that we portray its the memories of our lifetime that stay with us along the way. It's the family that unconditionally love and support us and I hope one day we can make some more of those memories to hold dear in our hearts. I love and miss you all so much. As a young apprentice man work for a contractor, I fisrt remember meeting Joel on a construction site, I helped him install an engine in Caterpillar D9G. Didn't take long to figure out we had something in common, the love for yellow iron and and the good old dirt bike.
He always treated me like a son. I liked to talk to him when ever I could.
My condolences to the family and Godspeedto you Joel, you've a one of a kind.

Lila and family,
We were so sad to hear of Joel’s passing! Joel got our family into motorcycle racing and we have so many great memories of time spent with Joel and Lila and family! Brent worked with Joel at Wheeler Machinery for many years. He was a guy who would do anything for you and always had a smile! Our love and prayers go out to Lila and family. May your hearts find peace with remembering all the wonderful memories you have with Joel!

Very sorry to hear of Joel’s passing. Some of my favorite times were camping and riding on the desert with the Lundgreen’s. I am lucky to have known Joel, always impressed with his knowledge and willingness to help, I swear he could fix anything. Sincere condolences to Lila, Steve, Mark, Jeff and their families. Rest in peace Papa Buzzard.

Joel and Lila have always been the cornerstone for the Buzzards races and the USRA. Their family lives, eats and breathes racing, like alot if us but to the umpteenth mile. Joel was a kindhearted guy and will be deeply missed. RIP dear man.
