John Winder Dahlberg's Obituary
John Winder Dahlberg, age 83 of Layton, UT passed away March 8, 2025, at The Terrace of Mount Ogden Rehabilitation after a long struggle with heart disease.
John was born on September 11, 1941, in Salt Lake City to Carl and Mildred Dahlberg. He graduated from Olympus High School and married Carol Lynn Anderson. Even though later they divorced they co-parented and raised two daughters.
John was a man of integrity, and one of the last real standing Cowboys. His handshake was better than a contract, and he worked hard with unwavering genuineness. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to help those in need.
John was known for his love of the outdoors and loved to create miniature artistic creations of experiences and places he’d been. He was deeply involved with his family and was all about participating in any experience/adventure. As a family we did tubing, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, camping, hiking, horseback riding, bike riding and even sky diving. He would say…” Nothing to it but to DO it”. His enthusiasm will leave everlasting memories to all that knew him.
John is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Danielle & Garry and Marci & Russ; one sister, Joy; grandchildren, Tory, Elise, Savannah and Jordan. Who will all miss him dearly.
A Viewing will be held at Premier Funeral Chapel in Midvale on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10:00am – 11:00 am followed by a Funeral service from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. Graveside service at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park at 1:00 p.m.
