John Vern Farren
John Vern Farren passed away peacefully after a battle with renal failure. John was born on July 26, 1955 to John Farren and Carolyn Burraston Farren in Nephi, Utah. John moved with his family to Honolulu, Hawaii at the age of 5 where he was raised. As a child John loved to play baseball, catcher and short stop were his favorite positions. As a teenager, John became an avid surfer, spending almost every morning at the beach. John attended the University of Hawaii and later graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Marketing. John loved to watch sports on TV and to play golf. In 1980 John married Jody Lemke, they later divorced. Together they had three sons who he loved and adored. In 2008 John married the love of his life, Danise Crosby Johnson, they had 8 wonderful years together.
John is survived by his wife Danise, sons, Jeremy (Asha) Farren, Justin (Lana) Farren, Joel (Alexandra) Farren, mother Carolyn Farren, sisters Jana (Brad) Johnson, Maryann (Bruce) White, father John (Michelle) Farren, step-daughter Jenny (Eric) Saunders, step-son Jared (Rachel) Johnson. Between he and Danise they have 6 grandchildren, Davis, Lily, Tuck, Asher, Owen and Hudson.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and aids who have helped John these past couple of years with all of his health issues.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday the 22nd of April, 2017 at the American Fork 38th Ward building 2433 W 450 S, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062 at 11:00 am, there will be a viewing prior to the services beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will be at the Goshen, Utah cemetery.
