I just heard of Lamont's passing the other day. My deepest condolences to the Felt family. When we shared an office in Richfield Lamont allowed me to share in a very special Valentine's tradition with his family. I would comment later on how impressed I was with all of his children and that he had done a great job in raising them, but he refused to take any credit for how well they had turned out, insisting that he "just got lucky". I expect he and Diane had something to do with his "good fortune". Lamont was also an inspiration for my desire to join DSPD and through many miracles, I've now had nearly 20 years of mostly very good times. Thank you so very much Lamont.

Years ago I worked in the same department as Lamont and he was always smiling and always greeted you like you were his best friend. I was struggling with something about the church and he gave me advise that really helped me to let it go and move on. Thanks Lamont I appreciated your advice and influence, just wish I would have told you this in person. I hope this post got a smile from you in heaven. You're a good man.
