He had a knack for filtering all he said, through love. I never felt like he shared his opinions to be right, but rather to build the kind of relationships, where it mattered to hear the other person's point of view and if nothing else, understand where they were coming from.
He is a beautiful example of how to Love One Another, with the purpose and intention that we were asked to. The strength and courage to choose the right in even the most difficult of situations, is why I hold him in such high esteem.
Also, it helps that he always told me I was cool! 😍 A praise that was in heavy rotation, and said in many variations! 🤣 I sure love that guy! Can't wait until we meet again.
From Mike Stewart, John's nephew - I know it's been said, but uncle John was very respectful even when he passionately disagreed with you. If things were getting too serious he would stop and say hey you are cool. I also noticed when we were walking downtown salt lake, that he liked saying random things to people to get a reaction out of them. So I noticed some similarities with my own personality with him.
