John has been a constant force in my life of 55 years.
His son Mark was spot on when he said his dad lived a life of relentless service. John was the epitome of compassion, and discipleship, sometimes to a fault. He did the best he could with what he was given and worked hard to better himself and provide for his family. His faith carried him through the challenges in his life and his solid testimony of the Plan of Salvation was an inspiration. He related to people from all walks of life and spoke to everyone. I will miss his stories and his jokes and his cheerful smile.
I will miss the sparkle in his blue eyes, and the discerning way he seemed to look deep into the soul when he would use his standard greeting of “Hello Lovely, how are you”?
