John Roger Kinne's Obituary
JOHN ROGER KINNE
BORN: July 20, 1947
DIED: August 17, 2022
John Roger Kinne passed away suddenly on August 17, 2022. Roger was born July 20, 1947 to Charlie and Rose Kinne in Ogden, Utah.
Roger served honorably in the United States Navy as a Sea Bee. He served in Chu Lai, Vietnam building roads, bridges, bunkers, and airfields. Roger was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roger was sealed for time and all eternity to Sharon Lavonne Claxton on December 07, 1972.
Roger worked as a Machinist for Flame Co, Barnes Aerospace, and retired from Hill Air Force Base. From there he worked for the Standard Examiner as a newspaper boy and maintenance man for low income housing. Roger was a Jack of All Trades. No matter what the problem he could fix it. If grandpa couldn’t fix it we were in trouble.
Roger had callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roger and Sharon served as missionaries in the Loran Farr Ward and many teaching positions. Roger has pioneer heritage from the Cooney’s, Woodmansey’s, and Auerbach’s.
Roger loved being outdoors! He especially loved being with his boys hunting/fishing and 4 wheeler with his girls. He enjoyed watching his grandkids play in his home and backyard. Roger loved to go shooting and garden with his sweet heart. He grew the best tomatoes!
Roger is preceded in death by Glora Kinne (mother), Charlie Kinne (father), Tom Kinne (brother), and Lance Kinne (son).
Roger is survived by Sharon Kinne (wife), Becky and Tom Caruso (sister and brother), Adam Kinne (son), Macen and Cat Kinne (son and daughter), Savannah and Bryan Hinds (daughter and son), Moriah and Justin Shaw (daughter and son), Justice, Madelynn, Wyatt, Sabrina, Cyrus, Merek, Sigrid, Kora, Noble, River, Sebastian, and Arianna (grandkids)
