John Kolan's Obituary
John Kolan, 91, passed away December 24, 2014 in Lehi, Utah. He was born February 3, 1923 in Victoria, Michigan to Slav Martin ad Margaret Markovic Kolan. He is a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII and the Korean War. He worked at Geneva Steel in Utah County for over 35 years. He married Janice Nielsen Thornton July 9, 1973. He is survived by his wife Janice, two sons Allen J. Thornton and Douglas E. Thornton, six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Three brothers Joseph, Victor, Frank and sister Kathryn. Preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and son Steven Thornton. Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 2, 2014 at the Sunset 2nd Ward, 721 West 2100 North, Lehi, Utah.
