John Charles "Chuck" Mitton's Obituary
John Charles Mitton, lovingly known as Chuck, passed away on July 3, 2025, in Santaquin, Utah, at the age of 74.
Born on February 1, 1951, to John Dale Mitton and Mary Redman, Chuck lived a life full of curiosity, creativity, and adventure. He spent his career as a dedicated truck driver, navigating countless roads across several states and mastering many types of rigs along the way.
Chuck was a great talker, charming everyone he met with his wit and conversation. He was a true artist, working with wood, stone, glass, and paper to bring his visions to life. A tinkerer who never met a gadget he couldn't improve, and a lifelong seeker of knowledge. His love of music filled many days with joy, and his adventurous spirit was summed up perfectly by his favorite saying: "I wonder where this dirt road goes."
Chuck is survived by his daughter, Amity Chrystal Golding; his beloved grandchildren, Elwin Fitzpatrick Golding and Flynn Obrian Golding; and his siblings, Cathy Mitton and Kim Marston (LouAnn). He was preceded in death by his parents, John Dale Mitton and Mary Redman.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Beehive Homes in Santaquin, Utah, and Renew Hospice for their compassionate care of Chuck, especially during his most difficult times.
Chuck will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
