John Quincy Stone's Obituary
John passed away on March 2, 201 at Auberge at Aspen Park after a long battle with Vascular Parkinsonism. The care that was given by their staff and Hospice to John was superior. We were so fortunate to have found them.
John was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Max Arthur Stone and Janet Leggat Stone and lived in Salt Lake City. He attended Olympus School class of 1963 then attended the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1971.
He met his wife Gae Silegy in Germany while he was working through a program from the University in Germany. They married February 13, 1971 and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
John was a salesman and enjoyed working for Hilti Construction Tools. He was a talker and could sell anything.
John coached Little League Football for 15 years. He was a scuba diver and dove all over the Caribbean. He loved camping, boating and long-time Utah Football fan and tailgated over 30 years.
John is preceded in death by his parents Max and Janet Stone.
He leaves behind his wife Gae Stone; children, son Jason D. Stone (Becky), daughter Heidi E. Stone and granddaughter Megan D. Stone and grandson Connor J. Stone. Also survived by his brother Bill Stone (Saundra) and many nieces and nephews and his cat Dobby.
John loved his family with all his heart and we will miss him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers a donation to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated.
