Jordan Edward Joseph Corbett's Obituary
On the morning of October 28, Jordan Edward Joseph Corbett, 26, lost his battle with depression and chose to take his own life. He left behind his soul mate, Natalie Kirkham and his two beautiful children Kattow and Elliana Corbett, along with countless family members and friends who cared for him deeply. Anyone who knew Jordan would agree that he was extremely loyal and would move mountains for those he loved. Although Jordan had been struggling with his mental health for some time, he was always there for others when they needed him. He had a deep connection with nature, spent most of his time outside and had a love for all animals. Most of all, his dogs Zoey and Luna.
Jordan was born September 12th 1996, in Salt Lake City and grew up in Midvale, Utah. He worked as a carpenter for The Finish Guys. He loved to work with his hands and could build almost anything. From a young age, Jordan’s curiosity of life drove him to experiment with how things worked, often taking things apart and putting them back together. He could be stubborn at times but he made friends easily and was always the first to assist whenever needed. He loved to fish, camp, hunt, boat, and all things outdoors. Most importantly, he loved to do so at his second home, “The Gorge” in Manila, Utah. He was a loving father to his two children, guiding them through life and seeing the world through their eyes. A few things Jordan loved and enjoyed doing; The Boston Celtics, The Boston Red Sox, riding horses and tote-gote’s with his grandpa, teaching loved ones how to fish, making Natalie laugh, collecting chicken eggs, and jumping on the trampoline with his kids.
Jordan is preceded in death by his mother, Kelli Smith; and his best friend Anthony Whitaker. Jordan is survived by his son Kattow Edward Jax Corbett, 7, and daughter Elliana Star Corbett, 1; his loving partner and mother of his children, Natalie Kirkham; his father Joseph Corbett; step father Terry Harrison; his grandparents, Edward and Kathi Corbett; Jim Oldfield and Maralene Murano; siblings Noelle, Megann, Rory and Abee; his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, best friend and brother Christian, and many more friends.
The amount of love and support Jordan had in his life was astounding. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed. We will miss his hugs, warm smile and big heart. May you fly high Jordan, we love you.
We invite all of Jordan's family and friends to join us in celebrating his life at Premier Funeral Services, 67 E 8000 S, Midvale, UT 84047, on Sunday November 6, 2022 from 1-4pm.
