Jordan M Phelps' Obituary
Jordan passed away Aug 1st at the age of 36 from Liver Cancer that spread from Colon Cancer. He was not alone; his sister was by his side holding his hand and his daughter had been reading to him. He had Ulcerative Colitis with Cirrhosis of the liver for the past 15 yrs. He was not a drinker or abused drugs, it was just luck of the draw. After not feeling well since memorial weekend and visiting his doctor numerous times, he went to the hospital on July 10th to be informed on July 12th that he had cancer and it was terminal.
He has left behind his daughter Emily J. Phelps 12 yrs of age; his father Larry G. Phelps, his mother Kim L. Kinney /Curtis Kinney; his sister Stephanie L. Anderson / Joshua Anderson and 4 nieces Keileigh, Kadience, Kennadee and Kambree Anderson; and his grandparents Raymond T. and DeAnna Lloyd.
He was raised and lived most of his life in American Fork, Utah attending American Fork High School.
He then moved to Taylorsville, Ut where he lived with his mother, step-dad and daughter. He started working Big O tires from the time he could stand until he could stand it no more. He was working for M&T Enterprise in Lehi, UT and enjoyed working there.
He had met and made many friends and foe, but he was happy when he was working and busy. His enjoyment in life was antagonizing people, especially his big sister with videos or pictures of sharks, or short jokes (because she couldn’t reach anything taller). He loved playing PlayStation games with his daughter Emily, his nieces or his mom and stepdad. That is where He received most of his awards and achievements. He was a part of all of our lives by either teaching his nieces how to driver a stick shift or helping his mom or dad when he had a day off and could.
All jokes aside he will truly be missed by all. Goodbye my son. You have left a large hole in my heart
And I will carry you with me forever.
We will be having a Life Celebration on his birthday – Sept. 17th, 2023 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
Lehi Elementary School - 765 North Center Street Lehi, Utah 84043. Please bring a picture or send me one that you have of Jordan ([email protected]) and a message that we can put in a book to help Emily remember her dad.
