Jose "Chepe" Guadalupe Lopez's Obituary
With heavy hearts, yet with the hope found in Jesus Christ, we celebrate the life of José “Chepe” Guadalupe Lopez, who entered into eternity on July 1, 2026, at the age of 28.
Jose was a beloved son, brother, friend, and faithful servant whose life was marked by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering desire to grow closer to God. He had a genuine servant’s heart and was always willing to help anyone in need. Whether through a kind word, an encouraging conversation, or a simple act of service, José made people feel welcomed, valued, and loved.
He is lovingly survived by his mother, Dora María López Luna; his father, Jorge Luiz López Reinozo; his brothers, Gerardo López and Ángel Herrera; and his sisters, Brisa Isel López and Martha Consuelo López. He also leaves behind a large Victory Outreach family, his Men’s Home brothers, cherished friends, and countless lives that were touched by his love and generosity.
Jose loved Jesus deeply and desired to know Him more each day. He faithfully served around the Victory Home, always looking for ways to encourage and uplift others. He had a passion for reading and studying the Bible, constantly asking thoughtful questions and seeking a deeper understanding of God’s Word. His faith journey reflected humility, hope, and a sincere longing to become the man God created him to be.
He found joy in learning and was fascinated by words and their meanings, often reading dictionaries and thesauruses simply to expand his knowledge. He enjoyed listening to music and discovering new artists, working out, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and learning about business and personal growth. José lived with discipline, excellence, and purpose. He took pride in being organized, health-conscious, and well-dressed, believing that even the smallest details mattered.
One of the many ways José will be remembered is as the BEST SUPERGIVER. As the official superhero mascot for the Kidz G.A.N.G. children’s ministry, he brought smiles, laughter, and excitement to countless children. His joyful spirit and willingness to serve made him unforgettable, and he embraced every opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others.
Jose often spoke about his dreams of building a successful future. He looked forward to one day becoming a loving husband and devoted father. He carried hope in his heart and excitement for all that God had planned for his life.
Although his time with us was far too short, José leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, generosity, and love. His smile could light up a room, his compassion brought comfort to many, and his life reminded us that true greatness is found in serving others.
While we grieve his absence, we also hold firmly to the promise of God’s Word:
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’” — John 11:25–26
Jose’s life was a testimony of growth, hope, and God’s transforming grace. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him until that glorious day when we are reunited in the presence of our Lord.

Jose, cariñosamente conocido como “Chepe”, será recordado por su corazón amoroso y atento, su espíritu alegre y su genuino deseo de servir a los demás. Era amable, compasivo, amistoso y acogedor con todos los que conocía. Fácil de hablar y siempre dispuesto a brindar una mano amiga, Chepe tenía una sonrisa que podía iluminar una habitación y una forma de hacer que los que estaban a su alrededor se sintieran valorados y queridos.
Chepe amaba a Jesús y tenía un sincero deseo de crecer en su relación con Dios. Le apasionaba leer y estudiar la Biblia y siempre estaba haciendo preguntas y buscando un entendimiento más profundo de su fe. Servía fielmente en Victory Home y encontraba gran alegría en animar y ayudar a los demás de cualquier manera que pudiera.
Chepe tenía una curiosidad natural y un amor por aprender. Disfrutaba leyendo diccionarios y tesauros y estaba fascinado por las palabras y sus significados. Le encantaba escuchar música y descubrir nuevos artistas, hacer ejercicio y mantener un estilo de vida saludable. También estaba interesado en los negocios, el crecimiento personal y en ampliar continuamente sus conocimientos.
Conocido por ser organizado y disciplinado, Chepe se enorgullecía de vestirse bien y de vivir su vida con excelencia. Siempre estaba listo para servir y será especialmente recordado como el MEJOR SUPERGIVER, abrazando con orgullo la mascota y la personalidad de superhéroe del ministerio infantil Kidz G.A.N.G.
Chepe esperaba el futuro con esperanza y emoción. A menudo hablaba de sus sueños de convertirse en esposo y padre, y de construir una vida exitosa. Tenía un deseo sincero de crecer y convertirse en el hombre que Dios lo creó para ser.
Chepe fue profundamente amado y siempre será extrañado por su madre, Dora María López Luna; su padre, Jorge Luiz López Reinozo; sus hermanos, Gerardo López y Ángel Herrera; sus hermanas, Brisa Isel López y Martha Consuelo López; así como por sus hermanos de Men's Home, la familia de Victory Outreach, la familia de la iglesia y las muchas personas cuyas vidas tocó.
La vida de Chepe reflejó esperanza, crecimiento, fe y un verdadero corazón de servidor. Su amabilidad, espíritu alegre y amor por los demás dejaron un impacto duradero que no será olvidado. Su memoria seguirá viviendo en los corazones de todos los que lo conocieron y lo amaron.
Se llevará a cabo una celebración de su vida el Jueves 9 de Julio a las 6:30 pm en 3125 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84115. Después del servicio habrá una comida compartida.
