Joseph L Blackbird's Obituary
Joseph Blackbird, age 36, died at St. Marks Hospital in salt Lake City on December 18, 2025 . He was born on September 3, 1989 to Jean and Joe Blackbird.
Joseph was a thoughtful and caring person. Always willing to lend a helping hand when asked and go the extra mile. He was a clever guy who was able to problem solve. He was good with his hands and helped people with simple car repairs. He was a hard worker and a go getter in life.
He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping, Swimming and fishing. He would always be the first to jump in the lake, He was an athlete and participated in many sports growing up. He enjoyed bowling or teeing off at the driving range with his brothers.
Joseph is survived by his parents, Jean and Joe. Grandmother, Emily Harden, brother Travis Harden, Sisters, Candace Blackbird and Amy Gilpin. Uncles Fred Harden, Anthony Harden Sr, Lance Harden Sr., Al Blackbird, Alden Grant. Aunt Lakota Harden and nephew Kaleb Blackbird
He is preceded in death by his Brother Nathan Blackbird, Grandfather Fred Harden Sr, Grandmother Florence Grant, Uncle Travis E. Harden and Dave Blackbird. Aunts Clara Miler Evelyn Blackbird.
Funeral services and viewing will be held on Monday, December 29,2025, From 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Premier Funeral Services 67 East 8000 So. SLC UT.
Following the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Joseph will be interned at Elysian Burial Gardens at 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah
