Joseph Phillip Hatch's Obituary
Joseph Phillip Hatch passed on June 5, 2024 at the age of 55.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Premier Funeral Services on June 28, 2024 at 6:30 PM at 67 E. 8000 S. Midvale, Utah
Joe was born on November 1, 1968 in Murray, Utah to Janet and Charles Fesler. Joe was adopted when he was young by his step father and changed his last name to Hatch. Joe met his spouse Cheryle in high school and started dating in the summer of 1986. They were married on August 5, 1989.
Joe loved the outdoors and he enjoyed hiking, camping, and paddling on the lake. He was a self-taught survivalist and never turned down the opportunity to learn and share his skills and knowledge.
Joe served in the Army from 1986 through 1996 as a crane operator, petroleum supply specialist and welder.
He received the Army Achievement Medal in 1988.
In his civilian life Joe was a welder fabricator, crane operator, truck driver and a chemical trucking terminal manager. He was a hard working and dedicated man with 14 years with TDC, LLC in Lakepoint, Utah.
Joe was an active member in his community as a Kearns Planning Commissioner. He helped develop and improve zoning that paved the road for Kearns to become a city.
Joe was a passionate and independent man who always helped others. He was a protector and a warrior that showed no fear in the face of danger or challenges. He was a man with integrity and honor with pride in his Scottish heritage and military service.
Joe is survived by his wife Cheryle, daughters Brittany Marie and Brandy Lee, grandson Axel Skylar and extended family members.
