Joseph James Wilson
1938-2017
Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and dear friend; Jim, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family that loved him so much after struggling with cancer for several years. He was born October 19, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl and Goldie Wilson. He was raised in Copperton, Utah and played baseball on many leagues and through high school. He faithfully served a mission to South Africa. Jim graduated from the University of Utah with an MBA and worked at Primary Medical Center for many years as an Assistant Administrator. He had many talents and was an accomplished pianist. He married Diane Willey in the Salt Lake Temple in 1962 and they were married 54 years. Jim was a devout and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints serving in many positions. He loved to play golf and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Karlene, and son, Brian. He is survived by his wife Diane, and children; Steven (Debbie), Sean (Tana), Sheri (Brandon), Kristin (Brian), and 18 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 pm, Saturday, May 6, 2017 at the Telford Ward, 1835 East Creek Road, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to services at the church from 9:30 to 11:45 A.M. Interment will follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens 10600 S. 1950 E. Sandy, Utah
