Joshua Lenaburg's Obituary
Joshua Lenaburg December 20th, 1975 – October 18th, 2023
A son, a brother, a friend, and a hero left us on October 18th, 2023. Josh was a friend and hero to a great many people. He had the fine qualities of loyalty, bravery and honor. He fought valiantly for 8 weeks before succumbing to multiple organ failure. He fought hard. He will be missed more than any words could ever even come close to describing. He was guided through his passing to the next world by his brother Jacob. Josh was 47 years old.
He leaves behind his wife Maggie, his sons Elijha and Junius Lenaburg. He also Left his brothers Jared Lenaburg, Jordan Lenaburg, Jacob Lenaburg, Danny Parker, Doug Gellispe and so many others who called him brother. He also leaves his mother Susan Higgs his father Kenneth C. Higgs and his father Paul Lenaburg. Along with countless other relatives.
Josh was a man who could bring a laugh even in the direst of situations. He was fearless and courageous in all that he did, that included loving with his whole heart without fear of how it might affect him. When he left this world, he was surrounded by his loved ones and feeling the love that they each held for him. There is no one in the history of time who could ever even come near to replacing him. Josh would befriend anyone whom he felt that needed him. He touched countless lives during his short 47 years. A man of unrivaled character and infinite generosity he will forever be missed. Josh left us too soon and there are countless good deeds that will never come to pass because he is not here. So, if you knew Josh do a good deed in his honor, help someone in need, stop holding a grudge, anything to honor this great man again. The world is a darker place without his huge light in it.
For Joshua
She came from the night sky, an angel of might.
She saw him lying there, his eyes losing their light.
She knelt by his side, whispered in his ear.
“Rejoice warrior Valhalla is near.”
She lifted his head and cradled him in her arms.
She sang him a song, of glory and charms.
She kissed his brow and wiped his tears.
“Let go brother Valhalla is near.”
She carried him away to the realm of the gods.
She brought him to feast among the hero's and bards.
She smiled at him and gave him one last cheer.
“You earned this brother, Valhalla is here.”
His celebration of life will be held at the church at 7500 South 700 East, Midvale, Utah on October 28th, 2023, from 10:00 am to about 1:00 pm. Services will start promptly at 11:00.
