Joyce Aland Olson's Obituary
Joyce Aland Olson passed away peacefully on May 9, 2020.
She was born on May 2, 1947 to Lowell Orchard Aland and Isabelle Crane Aland.
Joyce was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving in many callings, her favorite and most challenging being a Relief Society President. She was an avid reader, reading the Book of Mormon many times and enjoyed many other genres; Joyce always had a book nearby. She was a talented seamstress, enjoying needle point and counter cross-stitch. She loved her family and looked forward to the summer months when her children and grandchildren would come and camp out in her back yard; they would stay up late playing games and laughing together.
Joyce is survived by her sweetheart of 54 years, Dennis W. Olson; her children, Jeffrey (Brenda) Olson, Tad (Annette) Olson, Russell (Melanie) Olson, Mindee (Jeff) Knight, Rick (Sheri) Olson, 22 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren, with 4 on the way. She is also survived by her siblings, Roger (Linda) Aland, Sherrie (Harold) Eborn, Mary Jane (Alan) Adams and Marian Aland.
She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother, James Aland.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Stonehenge of American Fork for taking such great care of Joyce the past few months.
