Joye Ella Anderson's Obituary
Joye Ella Freeman Anderson quietly passed away on December 14, 2012 at the age of 85. She was born in Provo, Utah to Justin J. Freeman and Zelda N. Freeman. Joye grew up in Pleasant Grove and graduated from Pleasant Grove High School. At the time of her graduation she was engaged to her lifelong sweetheart, Keith Richard Anderson. They were wed on her high school graduation day in 1945. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple. Keith preceded Joye in death passing on March 30, 2002. They had been married for nearly 57 years. Keith was the Justice of the Peace for Pleasant Grove and Lindon for many years. During that time Joye worked as the court clerk and Judge Pro Tem with him. She was known for her generosity through many acts of service and she held many church callings. She was an award winning gardener, a voracious reader and a licensed ham radio operator. She also had a beautiful voice and was always involved in choirs. After retirement Keith and Joye enjoyed traveling in their motor home and on their motorcycles. Joye is survived by her two sons Bryce Keith Anderson (Kathi) of American Fork, Utah and Leon Neil Anderson of Taylorsville, Utah, as well as her brother, Dee M. Freeman (Norma) of Lindon, Utah, ten grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held December 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 800 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Friends and family may call December 17, 2012 evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery at 500 North 100 West, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
